!!!!BREAKING NEWS!!!
Sadly via e-mail notification at 8.56am today the 12th April we have learned from Duncan Hollingworth (Service Manager Buildings & Property) that The Boat Shed Project has now finally been rejected by East Lindsey District Council and the building will now go for public auction !
Thankyou to the public for their support over the last 3 years of our efforts to save this historic building for the community but we have now reached the end of the road!
This, one of the few remaining historic buildings in Mablethorpe that was passed to ELDCs care by the previous Urban District Council will now be auctioned off and the proceeds are unlikely to benefit our town.
We would like to thank the Mablethorpe & Sutton Town Council for their support of our project from the start to deliver a much needed new and inspirational idea to our area that would have undoubtedly boosted the towns standing .
Coastal Events Directors have once again been burdened with significant legal costs by ELDCs decision whilst trying to deliver this project for the community all donations towards this will be gratefully received.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my colleagues at Coastal Events CIC for their tireless and voluntary hard work on this and other projects and events they work on to try to improve our communities & Tourism offer.
